TGI Fridays

Image
TGI Fridays is a chain store which serves American food and drinks. I have been to the one in Melbourne and South Yarra and both have equally just as good service. The service there is very friendly and I remembered last time where we talked about the Football. It was during the finals that I went with RNIS. We had heaps of fun arguing over the footy teams. I go for the Cats and Newintstudents goes for the Bombers. The place is always noisy and people love just drinking there. They do happy hour there but we don't drink. I have always enjoyed TGI Fridays for their Jack Daniel's ribs and brownie. At the last one I had their burgers and RNIS had a veggie burger. The food was alright. Here they have lunch specials which includes a drink for $9.95, $14.95 for two courses and $19.95 for three courses. The food is always big and very tasty. And their food always come out fast. I disagree with many of the reviewers on Urbanspoon about this. They have a huge range o

New York Minute with RNIS

I dined with RNIS at New York Minute on a Groupon. New York Minute is an easy tram ride from the city in zone 1 and its near Moonee Ponds station by a ten minute walk. It is a small cafe so it is hard to find and spot from a distance. There is also one in Williamstown. New York Minute does everything American including milkshakes. It was here that we both dined on a Groupon and now Groupon is offering the same one for $8.50 each which involves chips, drink and your choice of burger. RNIS had vegetarian burger which you can read about on their blog whilst I had meat as per usual. The service was very friendly and they were quiet for a Friday night. The meat one was just ok I thought.  But I loved my chips and I'm a guy that enjoys tomato ketchup on his chips. So yes providing tomato sauce for customers is a great tick in my eye. RNIS however hates it. But I will come back to try the other burgers.

Empress of China

The Empress of China is on Lt Bourke St in Chinatown. It is right near Market Lane and the Girl with the Gris Gris. You can get here via Parliament station which is around the corner. It was here that I met up with my Japanese friends and RNIS and it was here that one of my friends recommended that I go. And thankfully he recommended a great place to eat as everything was so cheap. We paid only $6.50 per person for about five plates of assorted dumplings. I really enjoyed everything tonight. Here you can go with a group of five people and enjoy a feast for under $35. We came at 8pm and were full afterwards. We enjoyed the beef dumplings, the vegetarian ones for the veggie people and red bean pancake. Do come by for the cheap food and as a student $6.50 was a very good price to pay.
