PappaRich is a chain store all over Australia which serves Malaysian food. My favourite dish is the nasi lemak which always has the chicken. I live close to the one in Melbourne CBD but there are branches in the suburbs.

The city one has had its share of good and bad reviews online. Here you queue up, wait for a seat and then be seated. Sometimes I had to sit next to randoms as it was so busy, but I did not mind.
Then you write your order down on paper after looking through the menu. Sambal is $1 extra, but I don't really need it. My nasi Lemak is spicy enough as it is. I love the tender and juicy meat in my chicken. If you are a vegetarian you can opt for no chicken and that's what RNIS does. The nasi Lemak already has the sambal. This dish is $11.50.

The rice is also good though, although RNIS doesn't like the use of msg in these dishes so they usually order a side of roti to balance it out

The service is slow but I don't mind seeing as the food is good. It is cash only for purchases under $25, but I always have enough cash and if not there is an atm (for QV that is)downstairs.
